Why Continuity Matters
Continuity is not just about a second term; it is about protecting Nigeria’s recovery. Real national transformation rarely happens in four years. It requires a decade of consistent policy to move from “reform” to “reward.” Continuity matters because:
Protecting the “Great Reset”: The bold removal of the fuel subsidy and the unification of the exchange rate were “surgical” moves to save Nigeria from bankruptcy. Continuity ensures these reforms reach full maturity rather than being reversed, which would trigger economic chaos.
Completing Legacy Infrastructure: Projects like the 700km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Sokoto-Badagry Road are multi-year “Legacy Projects.” A change in leadership often leads to abandoned projects; continuity ensures these economic arteries are completed.
